Friday 20 November - Rehearsal Day
Saturday 21 November - Show Day

We will have two shows on Saturday at 11am and 5pm, with dancer sign-in approximately one hour before each show.

Our Preschool classes, including Preschool Transition, will perform in the 11am show only. Preschool dancers will also be able to leave once they have finished performing.

All other classes will perform in both the 11am and 5pm shows and will need to stay until the end of each show so that they can take part in our full-company finale. 🫶🏽

A detailed schedule, show theme and lots more information will be released soon.

For now, the most important thing we need to know is whether your dancer will NOT be participating in the show.

If your dancer is unable to participate, please let us know by Friday 2 October.

If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume your dancer is participating and will go ahead with ordering their costume/s.

👗 Show Costumes

Every dance school handles costumes a little differently. Some hire them, some ask parents to help design or make them, and others sell costumes outright.

At Phoenix, our dancers will generally purchase and keep their own costumes. We love that this means they get something special to keep after the show, while families also know exactly where their costume money is going.

We know costumes are an additional cost, so we are committed to keeping them as affordable as possible without compromising on how they look on stage.

Most costumes will sit around the $30 to $40 range, or less, and we’ll do our absolute best to keep the maximum around $50 per costume.

Our goal is always to choose costumes that look beautiful on stage, photograph well and feel special for the dancers, without adding unnecessary extras that push the cost up.

We want our dancers to feel absolutely amazing when they step on stage ✨ while making sure families still feel they’re getting good value.

🩰 Ballet Costumes

Ballet can be a little different when it comes to costumes. Traditional ballet costumes can sometimes be harder to source and considerably more expensive than costumes for our other genres.

We’ll be doing our very best to find beautiful, high-quality options that still fit within a reasonable budget.

If purchasing suitable ballet costumes becomes too expensive, we may instead look at hiring costumes for those classes. This would allow our ballet dancers to still perform in beautiful, professional-looking costumes without the cost becoming overwhelming for families.
