More Info

  • We currently operate across three studio spaces:

    • Upstairs Studio – 18/8 Toora Street, Papamoa

    • Downstairs Studio – 18/8 Toora Street, Papamoa

    • Bow Studio – 44 Toorea Street, Papamoa

Please ensure you carefully check your trial or registration email to confirm the correct class location

  • All students must come to class dressed in full uniform, wearing the correct dance shoes, and with hair neatly tied back (in a bun for ballet) This helps create a focused and professional environment, while also allowing teachers to properly support each student’s technique and progress.

Students attending trial classes or new enrolments will be given a grace period of a few weeks to organise their uniform.

  • To help classes run smoothly and create the best environment for our dancers, we ask families to follow a few simple guidelines:

    • Drop-off & Pick-up
Parents/caregivers are responsible for their children outside of class time, including while waiting before and after class. Please ensure your child is handed over to their teacher and collected promptly at the end of class.

    • During Class
To minimise distractions and support independence, parents are not permitted inside the studio during classes unless otherwise advised or during one of our dedicated “viewing weeks'“. If available, parents are welcome to watch through the viewing window.

    • Communication with Teachers
Teachers are available for quick chats before or after class, though this can be a busy time. For anything more detailed, please contact Phoenix via email or phone so we can give your enquiry proper attention.

FAQ’S

  • Classes are primarily based on age.

For busier styles, we also offer Level 1 and Level 2 classes based on experience and skill. All dancers begin in Level 1, with progression to Level 2 by teacher recommendation only

  • Wearing the correct uniform helps students feel focused, confident, and ready to learn. It also allows teachers to clearly see technique and alignment, which is essential for safe and effective training.

A consistent uniform creates a sense of discipline, pride, and unity within the studio.

As students progress into senior levels, there may be some flexibility with uniform, at the teacher’s discretion.

  • No, but they are highly recommended. Exams are strongly encouraged for dancers wanting to progress to higher levels.

  • Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop.

  • Entry is by audition only, with auditions typically held early in Term 4.

These groups require a higher level of commitment, teamwork, and training. Dancers are assessed on their technique, performance quality, attitude, and work ethic.
